I am looking for Comments with regard to Coaching in the PIMD.
Should there be Certification for the Club's Coaching?
How was the Coaching that you received as a New Bowler?

With the new hog line moved to 21m. from 23m., I would like to hear comments on just changing the distance in yards, inches, and feet. To simplify the hogline measurement to 70 feet, instead of the metric unit. Just saves time when tournaments come along, and simplifies the measurement when there is a challenge to the distance rolled of the jack. What say you?

Howdy Mike,

The .897 equals about 10 3/4 inches it would seem like 1.25 inch is triffling, but bowls IS a game of inches and rules are rules. Once the tape it out to make the measure, may as well mark your
Club's tape at 68 ft. 10 3/4 ins. I seldom call for a measure, but if I had a reason to check the "Jack's" length, then I may want that 1.25 inches to work to my advantage. I'd play by the rules, thus 69 feet is not close enough.

Rule Change # 2
21 Meters = 68.897 Feet
23 Meters = 75.459 Feet
After reading a recent email by Jerry Louis of the Santa Cruz LBC, I am wondering if using 69 Feet is acceptable everyone?

There will be 3 new rules change for USLBA/PIMD for 2011.
1. NO more Hammer
2. Hog line shortened to 21m. from 23m.- All clubs take note and make your changes by next year.
3. Skips are now in charge of keeping score, not the vice.

We need to use this site for any future communications on anything to do with lawnbowling. This will open up ideas and give feedback to your club reps to present to the Division Meetings held quarterly. Be a positive voice
for this sport, your club, and yourself. Thanks!

I just want to thank Mike Coiner for taking time out of his life to create and expand this PIMD Web-site. I know it is a work in progress as ALL web-site are. Cheers to you Mike.
Now for the comment, perhaps your button that get a person to this are should have the word "Blog" on it. You appear to have two buttons on the home page that say comments. (This is the first time I have every read or typed to a Blog. I am not sure what the space "URI" means...

Again thank you Mike

Bud B.
